Cancellation insurance in Austria

Traveling with small children and you don't know if they'll get the flu? Old parent at home and you'd like to be there if something goes wrong? Or simply you know that sometimes things don't go as planned: a hurricane went through the home of one of our guests for instance (nobody hurt). Another one broke her leg in the stairs of her home. Although rare, cancellations do happen and they can cost a lot, especially if the cancellation occurs "last minute".

This is why we started a partnership with Europäische Reiseversicherung, a leading cancellation insurance company in Austria, and we strongly recommend you contract a cancellation insurance with them. If you contract the insurance at the time you receive the confirmation from the owner of the accommodation, it will be effective immediately. If you contract it later on, it will be effective 10 days after. The link to follow is http://start.europaeische.at/hospl-en?AGN=10019593

There are plenty of insured events that will cover most cases of cancellation, however make sure to read the contract for insured events and exclusions.
